Job Description

As a Power BI Developer, you will work within a Product Delivery Team fused with UX, engineering, product, and data talent. You will help the team create dynamic and insightful dashboards and reports that solve business challenges for our clients. We work with a number of Tier 1 banks on building data-driven solutions for AML, KYC, and Sanctions List management workflows. This role is ideal if you are looking to segue your career into the FinTech or Big Data arenas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be involved in every step of the data analysis cycle from discovery to developer handoff and user acceptance testing.
  • Work with BAs, product managers, and tech teams to lead the data visualization process.
  • Maintain quality of the data visualization process and ensure that when dashboards are translated into actionable insights, they accurately reflect the business requirements.
  • Accurately estimate development tasks during planning sessions.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions involving non-developers.
  • Create, iterate, and maintain Power BI deliverables including dashboards, reports, data models, and documentation.
  • Ensure design choices are data-led by identifying key metrics to test each sprint and work with analysts in your team to plan data validation sessions.
  • Design user-friendly and interactive dashboards, understanding that adopting common data visualization patterns is better for user experience than reinventing the wheel.
  • Present your work to the wider business at Show & Tell sessions.

Skills & Experience

  • You have at least 3 years’ experience working as a Power BI Developer.
  • You have experience using Power BI for creating dashboards and reports.
  • You have some previous experience working in an agile environment – Think two-week sprints.
  • You are familiar using Jira and Confluence in your workflow.
