Fortinet Administrator (m/f/d) Remote

As a Fortinet Administrator, you will be an integral part of our IT security team, responsible for managing and maintaining Fortinet security solutions. You will work remotely within a team of skilled professionals to ensure the highest level of security and performance for our clients’ network infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in network security and a passion for working with Fortinet technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Fortinet security appliances including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and other related products.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to potential threats.
• Perform regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect network systems and data.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Fortinet security products, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with network engineers and other IT staff to design and implement secure network solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends and Fortinet product updates, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
• Document configurations, procedures, and changes to the network environment for future reference and compliance purposes.

Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years of experience working as a network or security administrator, with a focus on Fortinet products.
• In-depth knowledge of Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with configuring and managing VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security technologies.
• Proficiency in using network monitoring and analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients.
• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) certification are highly desirable.
